Watching the house of parliament stuff on news 24, and Cameron's speech has totally destroyed Brown.

I thought he did well also.

Brown has no response as usual. Labour must know now they are on the way out. I think all their hopes vanished after the U.K. failed to exit recession.

Very hard to find Cameron's speech, or at least a portion of it, on the Beeb without hunting through the politics section for a few clicks.

Brown's speech - front of the main page.

There's a surprise.

Why is it each time I see a recent photo of Brown all I can think is "You are Emperor Palpatine AICMFP".

Yeah they must be crapping themselves at the beeb cos I reckon there will be a cleanout when Dave gets in, worth voting them in to see some of those closet smug commies on the streets smile
Anyone listen to Evan Davies interviewing Michael Gove at 07.09 on the Today Programme, R4 this morning? Talk about talking over people and interrupting! ED irritates the crap out of me.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/listen_again/defaul...

Maybe I should post this in the leftie BBC thread here somewhere.

ETA I've just listened to this again. I'm sure it sounded worse this morning. Wouldn't be the first time stuff gets edited for Listen Again..

yes That was a fun few minutes!

I had the misfortune to catch Labour's positively woefull party political broadcast on BBC1, before C4 news - just how low can they get!

Cameroon and then Ballsup, great stuff, but C4 have moved on to whining about tax gas so time to replay the CMD humiliation of Winky. Meltdown would have needed a crane to get him up off that bench.

He comes across as hopelessly, hopelessly out of his depth doesn't he?

That interview seemed a classic case of give him enough rope and he'll hang himself without the other two helping.

TBH the only time Ed Balls will be seen as 'intelligent' or 'creative' ...is when he manages to hang himself with his Y-fronts tongue out

The Labour front bench have not got anyone that would rise above middle management in private industry.

They prove it time and again.

That is actually a lot closer to the truth that you might like to think. The biggest problem that the human race faces is overpopulation. There are quite simply too many of us and there is no slow down to the expansion in sight.

It may be a solution to a different problem but chris watton's point was that it's irrelevant to climate change, and since humans are not in the driving seat that remains a valid point.
