I presume it is - just like a company car etc - it IS a benefit after all ...

My employer is deciding whether or not to remove our health care (under *Consultation rolleyes ) - it is about £175 a month for each staff member ... so if it IS removed we presume we would each recover 23% (or whatever) of the £175 would we?

So about £40 OFF our monthly tax bills - as basic raters) ...

Cheers

Yes, it is taxed as a benefit. It will appear on your P60 from last year - check it and see how much you were taxed on.

Are you sure it's that much?

In my last big corporate job (finished 4 years ago) it was £600 per year for family cover.

Now in a much smaller company, only 3 of us have private medical cover, and for me & wifey it's £1200 per year.
