If I was asked to picture the kind of people who would leave a baby at home in the care of a 2 and 3 year old, this would pretty much be them..

Totally agree. Glad none of the kids were hurt.

I think the kids should be given up for adoption and the parents sterilised as well. I wouldn't dream of leaving a 3 year old alone never mind looking after a baby.

You'd be wrong, I think.

Those are the couple next door that rescued them.

The article did say the mother was in her 20's - I just assumed she'd had a tough paper round. hehe

So you're saying I've just insulted a hero??

redface

Shame on me.

Still think the 'parents' won't look too different, however...

I'd say so as well - the arrested mother is in her 20's, and the lass in the pic definitely ain't!!

They look more along the lines of people that would eat a baby and feed it to their 2 and 3 year olds! yikes

Show me a picture of the real family, and if it markedly contrasts with the original picture that was posted, I'll happily concede on the 'fail'.

'rescued from a house fire'

or

'removed a smoking manky oven tray covered in lard and bits of burnt turkey drummers from an oven'
