.... have a nuclear-free world" ?

Because surely that is ludicrous. You cannot "uninvent" something. You can no more have a nuclear-free world than a kettle-free world, or a pencil-free world.

But, judging by our news media, i appear to be entirely alone in my complete disdain for this proposterous notion.

Obama probably doesnt beleive it himself - but one wonders what his true agenda is then?

Have a look at who he associated with prior to being POTUS, and who he has appointed (with no congressional oversight) as a 'czar' .

Imagine I'm lazy - it's not hard - and enlighten me without me having to do anything more energetic than click on a hyperlink.

Certain western politicians have been trying to uninvent the car for years.

They're deluded and drunk on their own imaginary powers, so this kind of nonsense is to be expected whether it's cars or nukes.

You wrongly assume that I am less lazy than you wink

America doesn't want to pay for anything (even their own debts) and are just looking for gullible friends to foot the bill, again!
The limp-wristed liberalistic socialist Europe seems even more gullible now there's a Democrat and a black at the wheel, so he's appealing for us to pay more....and Brussels and co will probably jump on his bandwaggon as always....
The world recession is to 90% directly USAs fault due to bad credits and extremely poorly controlled (not at all) hedge funds, and pyramid selling bankers.

Not really, Concorde was just a fast aircraft that got regulated off, aircrafts are still around, they haven't been uninvented.

Watch the same happen with powerful cars, in a few years time.

There is no aircraft that is as fast as the Concorde though, that's the point

Its just proof that the hype is over and the yanks have elected a dhead again. Just cos he is black does not mean he is bright.

BTW there are lots of military aircraft faster than concorde. Its just they are bloody uncomfortable.

Isn't it just standard politics to inflate your goals/reduce your offers so that they can then be beaten up/down to what you really expect. Then you can walk away with a "fair compromise".

True, but there are still other aircrafts. smile Aircrafts have not been banned/uninvented, just this particular model.

FAST aircraft (I'm talking commercial people transport here, not fighter jets) have been uninvented.
Concorde was retired but nothing that even matches it's speed has come in to replace it.

Wouldn't say "uninvented", more like they are not politically correct anymore. The invention and the knowledge to build such aircrafts still exists.

Of course he doesn't think that. I've seen no evidence that the man's retarded.
He does think the US could get away with having a lot less nukes though but 'we can work together and have less nukes' makes a less satisfying soundbite.

yes of course and it never will until "the silliness and fartism" are subdued. We live in a world where climate deniers are about to be persecuted and its cool to denegrate technology and be st at maths and driving. Computers and speeding are so last year drugs are good and cars are bad.
