Daughter Headbutts and Stabs Mum - Mum in court for assault!

Surely this should never have ended in prosecution (persecution)???

14yr old daughter, 'problems with alcohol, drugs and sex', headbutts and stabs mother with scissors, mother smacks daughters arse, and Mother is dragged into court..... All ends in Absolute Discharge, which is the only good news as the police and courts' time has been thoroughly wasted!

Mum should be in court for being a st parent, however. (I may be wrong but I'm going with probabilities on this one.)

Thankfully the judge had a brain but how the Police even thought that charging her was in the public interest, let alone the Scots CPS (however it works in those there parts) deciding to run with it. Could only have been them thinking it was open and shut with a 'confession'.
