He was also too pissed to get of the plane in Ireland on the return leg of that visit.

Irish PM, President and red carpet all waiting on the tarmac.

They ended up sending some Russian nobody of the plane to meet the Irish as they had organised a big state visit for him.

Should have offered him a tour of the Guinness brewery and a kebab afterwards.

I heard after this retirement he got off the boose or at least didn't hit it as hard. He sure did look healthier a few years later (before his death of course
