Loony Libs plan "Mansion Tax"

If the country were ever crazy enough to elect the Loony left wing Lib Dems (OK, it's not going to happen but anyway..) they plan to bring in a "Mansion Tax". This would mean anyone owning a house worth more than £1 million (more a "small detatched house" tax if you live in London then) would incur extra taxes equivalent to 0.5% of the value of your house (above £1 mill) each year.

rich are keeping this country afloat....and again with the making scapegoats out of everyone but the real culprits - the labour party, rbs, northern rock etc....i want to see a flippin tax on flippin labour party members...

i wonder if labour or libdems get in and the imf is called in will the olympics have to be cancelled...
