Article reads:

Climate campaigners have dumped horse manure on TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson's front lawn in protest against his views on global warming.
The activists from environmental group Climate Rush unloaded the bag-loads of manure at his home in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, with a banner which read "this is what you're landing us in".
The campaigners said they had targeted the Top Gear presenter for his "blase attitude to climate change", including a recent trip driving to the Arctic which they claim emitted an estimated 1.7 tonnes of carbon.

The seven female protesters, dressed as suffragettes, made the stop outside Clarkson's home as part of their month-long horse-and-cart road show around the south west of England to raise awareness of climate issues.
The group's spokeswoman, Tamsin Omond, 24, said: "I love Jeremy, I love fast cars, I love progress, but I've learnt some things and those things terrify me.
"I learnt that climate change will make my future unrecognisable. I know I'll not have the same choices that Jeremy has now.
"If we keep on loving the fossil-fuelled lifestyle then by the time I hit 49, the world will be too busy coping with the impact of climate change to bother about how big an engine is possible.
"I'm dumping dung at Clarkson's gates to show he is dumping us in the s***"

Surely that's illegal?

I have two questions: How do you recognise your future when it hasn't happened yet, does she have a time machine? Also, if she wants to have the same choices as Clarkson wouldn't she have to become a motoring journalist/TV presenter?

I typed this up on another thread, in the style of Henry Root. To send to her.

Dear Miss Omond,

I saw you on TV the other day standing outside Jeremy Clarkson's house with some friends all wearing pretty little dresses. I understand you were delivering some fertilizer and proclaiming an interest in the state of the Earth's climate.

Why should an attractive lass like you want to confuse her pretty little head with complicated matters of a scientific nature, ecology and the so-called rights of citizens? Leave such weighty considerations to us men, that’s my advice to you!

A pretty girl like you should have settled down by now with a husband a couple of kiddies. Or, if you must earn a living, why do you not pursue a career suitable to women such as that of model, actress, ballroom-dancing instructress or newsreader?

You certainly have the looks! (You will agree, I think, that the outstanding success achieved by the likes of Sophie Raworth and Katie Derham has amply demonstrated that reading the news is far too trivial an occupation for grown men.)

Here’s a pound. Go out and buy another pretty dress and then give my friend Michael Grade a phone call. Mention my name and say you’d like to drop in for some advice about a career in entertainment or ITV.

Good luck!

Yours sincerely

Frankeh

Yeah, right.
According to Oakey (her resident PH stalker)

Raised at a large family home in London by her mother Sarah and painter father John, Tamsin was privately educated at London'sWestminster School and went on to study English at Trinity College, Cambridge, graduating with a 2:1 last summer."

True - and her 2:1 in English explains how she understands the complexities of climate science so well loser

No, but barely scraping a pass problerly makes the silly bh think that she is an expert in everything.

Stupid cow punch
OK I disagree with her silly campaign, but getting a 2:1 suggests she's fairly bright, but young and foolish. If you don't know (and your post indicates that you don't) the degree levels go - First, 2/1, 2/2 and third. I reiterate that I still think she's wrong, but do not denigrate her academic achievement.

She got a 2:1.... In English.

Steven Hawking she ain't.
I have a significant degree, and I ain't Hawkings either. Just don't label her as stupid, because she clearly isn't, just a bit over-enthussiatic in the wrong direction. What's your degree in?

yes Not exactly qualified to judge what really ought to be hard science.

Certainly not enough to justify foisting her little religion on others.

Still waiting, TVR Moneypit? You believe that you are much more able to comment on climate change issues - you have an open forum. We wait for your wisdom.
Thats the thing with the climate change/pollution/environmental issues. I'm not thick, I can read and appraise various views on the above, but when it comes down to it, I'm basing an opinion on the views I've read...guessing effectively.

Same goes for 99.999% of PH'ers I wouldn't mind betting. However, I'm not prepared to simply choose which side of the argument I fall on due my love of cars (particularly really stinky old British ones!)
Seems most folks here are.

I don't have one. I don't even have a single GCSE. I'd left school by the time I was 14 / 15, (1991/1992), to go and work 80+ hr's a week. Cant say that I ever regretted it or felt that it put me at a dissadvantage either. smile
So is this why you feel you need to sneer at academic achievement in others? I know plenty of bright and talented people who have no recognised qualifications, but are recognised as very talented in their own fields, so I don't value acacdemic achievement above all else.

To clarify

Issue 1 - Climate change, I'm not qualified to deal with these extremely complex issues, nor is TVR Moneypit, or even his quoted references.

Issue 2 - the labelling of a stranger as a 'THICK bh' (thst was the title of the thread, not TVR's position) which I regarded as unfair

I also stand by my original point that other contributers to the forum are no more qualified to have an opinion, but no-one stops them either.

Oh FFS, I've bothered to go and look at his previously quoted threads. Feeble to he point of couldn't be bothered any more. The evidence is all there. We agree on climate change.

We disagree on the idea that a young rich lass could possibly have a brain cell
