One in three votes cast for President Karzai in Afghanistan's presidential elections were faked with the independent watchdog condoning the massive fraud, EU election observers said today.

Around 1.1 million votes in favour of Mr Karzai met Afghanistan's electoral fraud criteria, as well as 300,000 cast for Abdullah Abdullah, Mr Karzai's main rival.

If the suspect votes were excluded Mr Karzai's total share of the vote would fall to 47 per cent and a second round run off in the presidential election would be triggered, the observers found.

The findings indicate that a quarter of the estimated 6 million votes in the Afghan election should have triggered fraud alerts but only a fraction are being investigated.
Bless, it was 300 years before the US managed to rig their election. Afghanistan's all growed up and they managed it all in just 8 years!

What?

You alledge that Afghanistan's election wasn't entirely straight?

My faith in human nature and democracy is shaken to its very core.

But as the candidates were pre-approved, does it make any difference?

I love it, if you disagree with the findings just attack the source.

Go back to sleep America.

As I've said in the past, I'd still live there if it was feasible

As you wish.

Feasible? What needs to change for it to be feasible, if I may ask? Is it a job situation?
