Very sad. There was a Keith Allen prog on him last night. Co-incidence?

An absolutely fantastic character and a very interesting life.

RIP indeed.

I'll pour myself a large one in his memory this evening.

WTF.

I watched the programme on C4 last night with Keith Allen & Floyd.

He looked really ill and was still on the booze.

He was also talking about how he was losing his house in France over his divorce and he seemed like a broken man.

He most definitely went out guns blazing that's for sure.

RIP Keith

RIP Keith. A real character.

A pioneer in his Food, Wine and Travel shows: some of the places he cooked up food were amazing!

Liked his style of cooking, and appreciated his no-nonsense approach on where to cook. Harbour fronts being a favourite of his.

Nothing like some of the pretentious chefs there are now.

Will be missed.

Didn't really think that much of him, suppose he said what he thought and was an interesting no nonsense cook/chef. He did seem to be passionate about what he cooked and the enviroment around him, however his family life did seem to suffer as a result.

That and the drinking.

I hope he made his peace with his daughter Poppy, he was a tt of a dad. (purely what I have read/seen obviously)

There have been "good" and famous TV chefs since the dawn of TV. Floyd was by no means the first.

At the risk of overstating things, I feel that the world is a little bit poorer without Keith.

I might just attempt his legendary garlic chicken when I get home tonight, as soon as I'm drunk enough.
