A small rant follows:

I've just been out in Plymouth and drove past a couple of lads holding up a sign from Domino's Pizza which read "HONK IF YOUR HUNGRY".

Now I might be a bit of a pedant for this sort of thing but when a multinational company the size of Domino's produces signs with incorrect grammar for the world to see, it really annoys me. My son is 15 and no wonder he has difficulty in identifying the correct use of your or you're or their, there and they're!!

The sign was profesionally finished and must have been provided by the firm, no doubt other areas will have the same promotion at some stage.

PS Please do not use this as an excuse to pull apart my grammar, spelling etc!

Could have been worse it could have been written in text speak (which I believe is the official language of the Grand Duchy of Retardia)

"HONK IF UR HUNGRY"

They are carrying out market research to find out how many Hungarians drive past their stores. Keep honking and they'll start selling a pizza stuffed with goulash.

That's inappropriate use of the horn, according to the Highway Code. A car horn is a warning device. You could get fined if plod catches you.

If using an incorrect word and impropper placement of punctuation is really the worst thing to spoil your day then you are very lucky!

It's really not the end of the world, is it?

They must have a lot of time on their hands I guess.

I am usually too busy working trying to pay the rent and bills rather than let such small trivial unimportant things play on my day.

An official letter, or legal document - perhaps I could get annoyed. Some doofus and their signwriting ability - don't care. Unless its one of my signs. Then I would club them, and eat their bones.

Good point. You should have posted this in The Lounge. That is the correct forum for matters of great importance such as this.
