No big deal. There are around 3000 Explosive Ordnance Disposal tasks in the UK every year. Around 2500 are Conventional Munitions Disposal (CMD) tasks, while the remaining 500 are to suspect Improvised Explosive Decive Disposal (IEDD) tasks. Most CMD tasks turn out to be something. Most IED tasks turn out to be nothing. I've done four jobs - 3 CMD & 1 IEDD - since Friday.

It's hardly surprising that explosive residue is found on miliary vehicles when you think about it. It's a bit like finding traces of choirboy on a priest.
