Hard to tell from here (i.e. the peanut gallery).

He's never looked very well to me.

The deeper he gets in the poo, the more he fights to stay there - weird.

If he is losing the sight in his remaining good eye, it'll be pretty obvious when he takes a nose dive off the podium I suppose

No smoke without fire and all that. I wouldn't wish blindness on anyone, of course, but it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to hear that the mental issues are based on fact.

I see your blindness (so to speak), and raise you a painful death.

Like the rest of the Labour Cabinet, I hope they die horribly and painfully for the state they have put this country in.

Interesting link.

I loathe New Labia and I dislike much of what Brown stands for,but it's hard not to have some compassion for him.

It is difficult, at the best of times, for high-flying leaders to put down the reins of power, harder still when things are going badly and you fear that's all you'll be remembered for, until the end of history. However, this is also the time when those who are truly great are able to see the bigger picture.

Sadly for Brown he's not one of the true greats. He'll hang on by his last finger nail and will be unlikely to exit with much dignity intact. He's unelected and has a cabined peppered with other unelecteds. The sooner an election's call, the better for everyone.

Personaly, I have no problem with a blind PM - it wouldn't affect his intellect.

However, this is Brown, and seeing that he'd be a complete disaster if he was bionic...

Mental health problems? Errr, obviously!

The 'establishment' colluding to conceal the ill health of a prime minster is nothing new. Towards the end of his second term Churchill was probably too ill to perform his role fully but this was concealed from the public.

Similarly past prime minsters have suffered from depression, though not, to my knowledge, OCD.

Brown is unfit to be Prime Minster by reason of his beliefs and judgement, not his health issues, be they physical or mental.

Sorry Digga, I have no compassion for him either. He's shown that he has achieved the highest office in the land through bullying, manipulation and smear tactics. He has shown scant compassion or care for others and everything that has gone wrong for poor Gordon has pretty much been his own doing - live by the sword etc...

Okay, I'm outvoted.

Do as you wish, have him shot at dawn or whatever.

"You fker! It was meant to be ME, you fker! You stiched me up you stbag, you and all your fking Bilderburger mates. Just cos I wouldn't piss on that owl, you fking stitched me up YOU fkER! It was meant to be mine, MINE!! fkERRRRRR!!!!!!!"

Well a man can dream, can't he?

i dont know how much truth is in that article but i would think that unless someone decided that they had enough fight to challenge Brown and had support from back benchers, them he will continue until the very last moment before calling the election. He and his cabinet as well as those before him have helped to bring this country to its knees and have only left a legacy of debt which the country will be saddled with for years to come. What i fear is that Dave and the Tories dont have enough idea or direction to steer us back onto the right course. We need a credible opposition to be able to vote for otherwise we are going to see a further decline in voter apathy

Considering many people consider Ronald Reagan to have been an excellent president of the US even though he was likely in the early stages of dementia I don't think Brown's health issues are anything to be concerned about.

Can we have a whip round to have one of these sent to number 10?
