The discovery of swine flu in birds in Chile raises concerns about the spread of the virus, the UN warns.

Last week the H1N1 virus was found in turkeys on farms in Chile. The UN now says poultry farms elsewhere in the world could also become infected.

Scientists are worried that the virus could theoretically mix with more dangerous strains. It has previously spread from humans to pigs.

However, swine flu remains no more severe than seasonal flu.

Not really news at all then...

Ha... I see what they did there, combine bird + swine flu so you get a mighty-amalgamated-hyper-killing-virus that's going to kill the planet to death.

Bugger, with the winter coming back, all the birds will be moving down south so next year they'll come back with bird-swine-aids-AK47 flu... we're fooked!

So if your Christmas turkey has the sniffles.... yikes

And if pigs can't fly at least the swine flu can.

The government have recently carried out a secret poll.

"What would it take for you to willingly accept a compulsory vaccine from the government?"

Unfortuantely they took the answer a little too literally.

I just can't see any way for us on this small island, to protect ourselves from people from other islands on the other side of the world.

if only we had some government department that was set up to monitor our borders and stop planes and boats from landing on this little island.

Surely we are btter suited to protect ourselves than just about every one else in the world!
