It was only a matter of time:

This presents and interesting conundrum - you have to take off a motorcycle crash helmet when entering a bank, but what about a burkah?

"Hello Dragons, I would like to show you my patented Peek-a-boo burkha. It is a standard burkha but comes with a velcro face section which when visiting a banking establishment or petrol station can be unattached to show the face. I'm looking for a £250,000 investment for 5% of my business "

Someone remind me of the rules on passport photos and burkah wearers?

Just ban the public display of primitive practices. Now, I know that New Labour like banning everything, how about they ban the public display of religion. Beards are fine, but any silly st like a burkah, stop it. I'm not allowed to get my tits out in islamistan, so they can keep their dalek gear in private as well.

If I had my way, I'd ban mass religious gatherings in the UK, even if they were christian. Sooner we get away from this nonsense, the better.

Sorry if I've hurt anyone's feelings.

It's not a religious thing, though. It's purely a cultural choice, I thought.

Yep it is, its to do with discresion, morals, respect for one self and other personal motives. No where in any religious text is the burkah mentioned as being compulsary.

And yes i know i really cant spell today. I didnt sleep well lastnight..

I just surprised it took this long for someone to give it a go (after all, it was a while ago that a terrorist escaped (IIRC) by wearing a Burkha and strolling past customs)....

That's exactly what I understood it to be. Otherwise, every Muslim woman would be wearing one and not just dressing sensibly.
