......released after 5 hours in custody without charge..? Surely after running into a truck at 1am, there should be some sort of "due care and attention charge...?"

A chap I work with is proud to bat for the other side.
One day he came in having rear ended another car with his company motor.
His excuse was that he saw a sign on the back of the car, thought the driver was similarly inclined and would therefore enjoy a good rear ending.
“What sign would make you think that?” his manager enquired.
“Bent Leigh” he said.
