Im a bit flabaguasted and quite impressed with her ingenuity, though it obviously wasnt her that came up with the idea as she wouldnt have got caught or wouldnt have done the drug smuggling in the first place:

Her statement said she had artificially inseminated herself while in prison using Watson's semen. Her baby is due next month.
What are the bets that in a year she will be out of jail due to her having a child and being against her human rights having it in prison and not allowing it the freedom it deserves.

Also if she gets out for having a kid, why is John Watson, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, who is also imprisoned in Laos for drug smuggling looking for a transfer, why cant he just fry, hes not pregnant?

Do a crime in another country, face the consequences. (or could she be the drug mule that she claimed to be???)

I did a search and found nothing else that anyone else wrote.

I might be wrong but I thought under the prisoner swap agreement whether she is let out of prison or not is still down to Laos? The swap is just to serve her sentence here.

It wasnt a swap it was a gesture of goodwill.... I suspect they get guns, drugs or food in exchange.

Death penalty over there, life in prision over here. Bet shes out before life is concluded?

The automatic death penalty is triggered at a certain weight of H, maybe the alleged father was carrying just under that amount, which would then have landed him a life term.

She'll be out in a few years on full benefits whilst also making a mint selling her story to the highest bidder. Who says crime doesn't pay?

Has Laos actually executed any western drug mules in the last 10 years?

So now we have to pay for her, the kid, and probably the father of her offspring for the next fifty years.

FFS.

Why should I have to go to work to pay for the vile drug smuggling c tbucket to live in luxury. She should have been slotted in Laos.

They should have let the loas government execute her thus saving the taxpayer a small fortune.

As the saying goes, you do the crime you do the time.

Since your here, would it have not been PC to let her have the kid, execute her and then send the innocent kid back as he too was used as a pawn in this?

Sorry if that sounds harsh but you pay your money you take your choice.

Another useless piece of human garbage that the tax payer has to shoulder the burden of.
Yep, string her up. Then string up everyone who says "should of" instead of "should have", closely followed by all those who say hung instead of hanged biggrin

I can understand commuting the sentence until she has given birth - its not fair to execute the child because of its mother's mistakes. I might not agree with the death sentence for that sort of charge and to be fair I can understand someone wanting to save their own skin but its not like she didn't know the risks and the main route I'd taking to not getting executed for drug smuggling would be to not smuggle drugs

And become another burden on the already overworked adoption/fostering service?

Stuff it

the cow should be executed once her sprog is born

There are plenty of people who would adopt a newborn

Let her have it and send her back to complete her sentence

how many thousands of pounds does it cost to keep muppets in prison? Why should we take the burden of paying for one more.

Why do people always use that "Why do I have to work to fund..." crap?

You don't. You could quit work and join them.

But I hope and suspect your self-respect prevents you doing that.
Which is something "they" will never have.

That's a hanging offence in itself.

Legalise drugs and criminals won't be able to make obscene profits from smuggling.

The death penalty is abhorrent and I'm glad this Brit will be serving her sentence here.
