The "Breakfast" show is on. This is the BBC morning prime time show that covers the news of the day.

They are having an extended piece on a study that has found that wearing stilletto heels is dangerous for women.

FFS.

Not sure you'll find anything better anywhere else .... perhaps your thread title should be "Breakfast TV - useless" ;-)

No wonder the old newshounds bemoan the feminisation of the BBC...

Just pathetic.

Listen to Radio 4.

Still the BBC but usually a lot more intelligent news coverage than BBC TV.

Currently discussing the popularity of war memoirs and histories.

I listen to Radio 4 on the way home. I usually end up shouting at the car radio before switching it off. But you're right - it is more intelligent.

I don't watch "Breakfast" - the wife had switched it on. Even she snorted with derision at that piece...she only really puts it on for the weather.

I have just seen the story about cars being swamped by an incoming tide for the 4th time. I agree there are slightly more important stories that could be getting covered at the moment.

At least there's no Strictly Come Prancing on atm which usually passes for the Top Story on BBC Breakfast.

I just treat BBC Breakfast as a bit of background noise when getting ready in the morning. The clock in the corner is the only really useful bit smile

Breakfast television, made by morons for morons. A complete waste of electricity.

Edited to add; There we are, BBC greens could can it on the grounds it's saving the polar bear.

We've recently gone back to BBC Breakfast as minimechs is getting older, and tbh I prefer CBeebies.

Just listened to a play called "Bearing the Cross" on Radio 4.

Forget BBC TV and listen to something of quality. It should be on their Listen Again facility before too long.

Last time I took BBC Weather seriously I spent an hour under a tree in torrential rain wearing nothing but a t-shirt and shorts - they had preduicted 28 degrees and non-stop sun.

Useless, commie fks

Hold on - do you judge the entire BBC on just a couple of things?

I say again - tune into Radio 4.

Yes, they're communists, that why the weather wasn't as forecast.

Try watching GMTV - it makes BBC Breakfast time look very highbrow confused
