Baffling... Absolutely baffling.

As much as a sympathise with the "naive mother" line that article seems to take I do find it hard to believe that any law abiding citizen wouldn't consider taking it to the authorities having let it go that far.

I suppose some people just aren't very logical and are very frightened when it comes to extortion though.

Boils your piss doesn't it?

Without being rude, you can almost tell from the woman's demeanour that

a) she wasn't very bright

b) she lacked personal self confidence

Ideal fertile ground for a thug and a bully to work on.

Less than a year inside, and no mention of him paying the money he stole back?

She'll be chuffed to bits with that sort of justice!

Good to see our justice system doing it's bit to ensure a lawless society ensues.

with any luck, the slug will catch terminal cancer, with even more luck he will have life insurance that this woman can claim against; and with the greatest of luck it will be soon. The judge needs sacking, or is he hidebound by the overloaded prison system. at least the rotten pikey in the other case got 3.5 years.

I saw this on the news earlier today, and couldn't believe that he was allowed to walk free from court. In what world could that possibly be acceptable?

...in the nightmare world that is modern England, where the politicans are utterly detached from the genuine evils of our society, such that they forgoe their responsibilities to us and pursue peverse political agendas at any, and many costs, as long as it's not to theirs...

I could manage to lose all sense of right and wrong if I was ever in a situation where someone close to me was bullied by such an obviously cowardly individual.

The Judge, the CPS, that utterly useless fecker Jerk Straw should be held to account for this mongrel being allowed to walk away from this outrage; instead, the likes of Straw feel fit to haul another judge over the coals for daring to speak the truth about how low in the quagmire our leaders have sunk this country. Just how much more ste do we have to take before we get back the society where the law was respected and feared for all the right reasons?

Was that an attempt at humour or are you genuinely sociopathic?
