I am not sure what influence he had on it all but he may have done some good.

Very interesting state of affairs. No discussion over their nuclear issue, the state PR dept has been having a tit for tat war of words with his missus & he delivers the goods. Makes you wonder what was put on the table. However any kind of dialogue with the North & it`s leader is progress with tensions being what they are.

Word is he negotiated nothing, who knows. Reports indicate that Kim the Ill wanted a "high profile figure" to visit as an envoy as a condition of release. "Experts" say this is a demonstration to show he has influence and recognition on the world stage, thus, impressing those who help keep his regime propped up.

Why were they in North Korea anyway ?
Not somewhere I'd choose to wander into by accident.

Indeed were they in NK? It wouldn't be the first time foreigners have been snatched from over a border and put on trial as spies.

I believe the story is they were snatched from the Chinese side; NK claims they were over the line.

That's what I read. And it's hardly an original ploy.

Excuse me, but I just watched the news video of these women at the airport standing next to Clinton and there is Al phucking Gore smiling and hugging on one of them while they are trying to conduct an interview. How and for what reason is that scam artist anywhere in that picture??? Please, someone enlighten me.

I am sure I heard something about Gore and at least one of the reporters "working" for the same news organisation?

Perhaps he's getting a bit desperate for attention as no one wants to listen to his MMGW sheeite any more

That was it. He operates some junk science news channel or some such thing and one of them was an employee. I am certain is was not just him grabbing airtime, he was genuinely concerned. rolleyes
