Does this mean that they can be treated like the muslim police would do in their own country?? Beatings and such, or are they expecting muslim only police and an english judicial system and rights, so the best of both worlds for them?Nah, that could never happen...

“I don’t believe a white officer is ever going to be fully conversant with a Sikh.”
From what I've seen on here some of them are only infrequently fully conversant with any MOP.Dupont666 said:

I really don't see a problem with this, what is wrong with showing respect for a place of worship whether that be a church, synagogue or mosque, I don't see why a special garment with a logo has to be produced though, just a simple head covering is all that is required.
What, apart from the concept of God merely differentiating between lunatics and those with a brain that is capable of rational thought?ETA:
How long before a Christian officer refuses to go into a mosque?

But where does it stop? Should the male officers have to grow beards if they want to enter a mosque? What happens if they've had a bacon sarny for breakfast? Are the police going to have to be closely followed by wardrobe and makeup vans so they can match their attire to the whims of whoever they're visiting? Dr_Gonzo said:

Can I ask why you are so angry about this decision, is it the cost, a dislike of religions or what ?

Why would a Christian police officer refuse to go into a mosque?I'm sorry but having worked diverse areas including the Sikh community we already adapt how we deal with certain rooms and removal when practical of boots etc.
It is about reasonable adaptions to show respect to peoples religious beliefs.
If you do not need to ride rough shod over them why should you?
