So now the police uniform is being changed to pander to the whims of religous groups.

So presumably when male officers have to enter a Synagogue they'll now be required to chop the tip of their cock off?

Can they also issue crosses to Muslim officers when they need to enter a CoE building?

Does this mean that they can be treated like the muslim police would do in their own country?? Beatings and such, or are they expecting muslim only police and an english judicial system and rights, so the best of both worlds for them?

Palbinder Singh chairman of the Metropolitan Police Sikh Association said:
“I don’t believe a white officer is ever going to be fully conversant with a Sikh.”
From what I've seen on here some of them are only infrequently fully conversant with any MOP.

If they survive the arrest procedure, they will probably end up in a sharia court wink

I really don't see a problem with this, what is wrong with showing respect for a place of worship whether that be a church, synagogue or mosque, I don't see why a special garment with a logo has to be produced though, just a simple head covering is all that is required.

What, apart from the concept of God merely differentiating between lunatics and those with a brain that is capable of rational thought?

How long before a Christian officer refuses to go into a mosque?

Seems a lot of anger at a decision to show a little respect.

Why would a Christian police officer refuse to go into a mosque?

But where does it stop? Should the male officers have to grow beards if they want to enter a mosque? What happens if they've had a bacon sarny for breakfast? Are the police going to have to be closely followed by wardrobe and makeup vans so they can match their attire to the whims of whoever they're visiting?

A bit of an over reaction don't you think ? It is expected of any woman entering a mosque to cover her head, it is not expected of every man to have a beard, though they should remove their shoes.
Can I ask why you are so angry about this decision, is it the cost, a dislike of religions or what ?

Well seeing as this whole "divine being" malarkey is stretching it a bit, why not go the whole hog?

I'm sorry but having worked diverse areas including the Sikh community we already adapt how we deal with certain rooms and removal when practical of boots etc.

It is about reasonable adaptions to show respect to peoples religious beliefs.

If you do not need to ride rough shod over them why should you?
