"were found during the raids in Barnstaple, Torquay, and Plymouth."

How many men/women did that take then?
They would have saved the taxpayer a few quid, if they'd simply gone to he corner shop and bought some hehe

And in other news...

Gordon Brown said that he is confident that the UK economy is on the up after he found a 20p with no date on down the back of the sofa!

325 packs of cigs and a kilo of tobacco?

As I used to be a 20 a day man the first is what I probably smoked in a year and the latter is not worth the paper it's written on...who the feck decided to authorize a press release about that!

Simply ridiculous!

Why do they worry about the revenue from tobacco when Gordon the Great is telling everybody to stop smoking?

It would be funny if it wasn't very very pathetic.

Why don't they realise that if the homologated the tax rate with that of the rest of europe they would kill the illegal import trade overnight and the increased revnue from uk sales would make up for the loss of tax on illegal imports.

Oh no...but that would mean making fags cheaper...and thats bad...mmmmkay.

It's a bit of a joke when you take into account that real crime gangs are smuggling them in by container loads.

From the clip -

"This type of crime is crippling the nation"

I thought that was Brown's job?

Those rolling tobacco users have been cheating the big cigarette companies out of income for years!
