The police have finally given up.......sad ending to a horrific story.

Looks like Keith Bennett will never be found now. Sad for his mother......that's all she wanted.

I can't believe that Brady won't give the information up, just to put an end to the case before he dies.

still, i suppose he's enjoying the power thrill....

Typical of the sick man that Ian Brady is though. It is just so very cruel for the mother.

I'm surprised they haven't found the body TBH. We were asked to help the police do searches for Claudia Lawrence, and whilst there I got chatting to one of the SARDA dog handlers. He was explaining just how good they are at finding bodies.

Apparently they had one case where they had the dog out in a boat whilst looking for a lost fishing boat. The dog managed to detect a scent from a body in 15m of water. Bloody amazing things.

I know the Army tried to help out with special body detection systems that can detect a body as a heat source even though it has been dead for a long time.....something to do with gas i think.

They failed. Brady probably took them to the wrong place deliberately so he could have a crafty 'pocket shuffle' over his crimes.

Would he remember where he left the body anyway?

I think your right about getting out of prison for some fresh air and a walk around the moors.

Can he not be chemically assisted into divulging the information. I know that's another can of worms but it seems fair to me....

I'd have said that was more likely.

the bloke is scum, he should be tied down and as much pain inflicted on him, as they did to those poor kids. with any luck he may cough up the info on the way through.

He's an evil scrote. What motive does he have to help in any way?

Shoot one of his kneecaps.

Then ask him if he'd like to reconsider.

Brady always said he could and would locate the body if police let him go back to the scene.

Keith's mother wanted this also, but it never was allowed, which is understandable.

He only said that to keep the upper hand and to try and exert his power over the situation. It's all he's got left.

Intrestingly the BBC web article originally claimed that they took Brady there in the 80's but he could not find him. Just re-read the article and that statement has been removed.

That is technically deemed as Torture under EU law.

Otherwise I'm sure they would have tried it.

"You're getting bread and water for the rest of your days unless you tell us where the body is. Human rights? You're not human enough."

Any problems with that?
