Yes but a loan of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwe dollars is only about £1.49.

Hang on who's he giving the money to? Not the African Hitler impersonator.........no! Is he the only man in the world who still likes Winky? Apart from Lord Mandy, Prince of Flies, Grand Wizard of Moff Tarkin and Lord High Glam Queen of Penge. <--- current official title I believe.

"The extra aid brings to 60 million pounds the transitional aid to Harare this year"

I Take it thats just from us. Don't forget the EU and USA also probably give aid after Bono and that other fella phone them up and badger them.

Brown is simply lending his mentor 'Bob' some cash to see him through a skint patch.

I doubt any of the money will be seen by those that need it - 'Bob' probaly needs a new fleet of Mercs.

It would be cheaper to invade them sort the mess out from the inside then come home after a year.

with freedom of info act etc now can we insist on seeing a breakdown of where exactely that money goes or is it literally a big cheque that they can do what they want with?

Obama just last week pledged £5mil too..but vowed to do the aid distribution themselves rather than channel it through the corrupt goverment coffers which seems a sensible move.
Judging by some of the horrific reports that the economic situation is having on the youth reported in Radio 4 last week...a few bob to the desperate can`t be a bad thing & makes a change from ploughing mindboggling figures into the black hole formerly known as banking.
The country seems beyond repair however ....frown
(Zimbabwe that is)....hehe

All this is just deflecting from problems in their/our own economy.

First they went st stirring in Sri Lanka, now they want to pretend they're helping out in Zimbabwe. It's just a ploy to draw attention away from the merde hitting the fan.
