It's more common than you think.

About 100 people die each year on commercial flights.

Crew deaths are around 1 every 2 years.

Some long haul carriers now fit dedicated areas to hold deceased passengers.

When I went into the heads on a long haul flight, it smelt like someone had died in there.

Wasn't the crew made up of three pilots?

I know it's a terrible thing to say but when I hear stories like this, I get a crazy idea that i would just once like to be on a plane where I put my hand up if the karen black as the stewardess came over cabin intercom asking for anyone with flight experience, to find both pilots incapacitated.

So I could tell Lloyd bridges or Robert stack that I had 100s carrier landings in a snow storm, at night, in my f14, with one engine out, even if they were all simulated on my pc when I was 15, just don't mention Macho Grandee, for chrissakes get a hold of yourself shirley...

Maybe it's just me and too many 'Airport' disaster movies growing up, odd they don't get repeated very often these days, you may think me rather too charlton Heston but I reckon I could do it, modern planes could probably be remotely or autopiloted down in any case!

"About midway through the trip, an announcement was made asking if any doctors were aboard, and several passengers approached the cockpit" - straight out of an airplane movie!

A second announcement that they were also out of coffee caused utter panic amongst the passengers

Pretty sure that your post was irony free as well. Either that or my dictionary is wrong.

Any plane will land itself, just wait for the fuel to run out.

And there was I hoping this would slide off the page, I'm on a loser now if I continue to post any further, as the (internet) lady (boy) doth protest too much, when I was trying to be humourous...rolleyes
