There was something about it that made me feel uneasy, coming from the President, on camera.

Can't put my finger on it, but my gut instinct tells me he shouldn't be in charge.

I agree, except it is my brain telling me the same thing. hehe On a serious note, these PETA fools take the cake.

What about all those bugs we've all killed with our selection of cars and motorbikes? We must be on the PETA number one list for insect genocide...

hehe

It does remind me of something George W Bush would be doing.

Followed by a Beavis and Butthead snigger.

Actually, if you dig a little deeper it would seem as if the media contacted PETA asking for their opinion, looking for a condemnation, rather than the other way round, and they replied:

"When the media began contacting us for a statement, we obliged, simply by saying that the president isn’t the Buddha and shouldn’t be expected to do everything right – if not for that, we would not have brought it up."

It's almost as if the media are trying to get people to say:

'Look at those nutters, haven't they got anything better to worry about?'

oh....

"We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals," Peta spokesman Bruce Friedrich said.

Bet he changes his mind if he gets pubic lice.....

There's a lot of front on mine too.
The bigger the frontal area and the more powerful- the more insects that can be swatted. The Ram does this quite nicely wink

The one thing they love even more than animals is publicity of any kind.

Typical!! PETA wanting to protect insects which (apart from feeding birds) have no use apart from spreading lethal diseases. Swat PETA members!!

Folk's,

On my first trip to the US, I was asked if I had any special dietry needs. I had to say I am on a strict diet - if there was no dead animal on the plate then I am not interested.

PETA do this kind of thing all the time - it's not about a genuine issue, it's a publicity mechanism. They're just after media attention. Just ignore them.

I was asked if I was an "animal lover", to which I replied, "I prefer mine fried". Ugly looks that one brought. smile

We should start sending them sirloins and chicken legs through the post. That'd make 'em happy.
