What news today? This isn't news. Olds would be a better term.

It is an opt in service.

So anyone who has ticked a box saying your details can be passed to others will be listed.

Hardly.

You tick a box saying you don't mind receiving further information from, say, an online clothing retailer and suddenly you're 'opted in' to a directory enquiries service.

That's bullst.

I don't think there can be enough threads letting people know how to become 'ex-directory' on that service.
