Discussion
Another day, another BBC/government global warming story.

Campaigners say that the UK impacts are likely to be minor compared to other parts of the world.
Last month a report from the Global Humanitarian Forum, the think tank chaired by former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan, said that the UK was among the 12 countries likely to be least affected by climate change.

Another V8 it is
How the f**k can something which allegedly damages the whole planet and causes sea level rises be less damaging to some countries?
Is it time for another Green tax? Haven't had one for, oh, maybe a week?
I hope that in a few years when this all blows over, those like Gore are first up against the wall for the damage they are doing.

So what if it is?
We son't control the planet. All the eco warriors saying we are destroying the planet. That isn't correct, if I go on the assumtion that we are causing it, then we are getting rid of the human race.
Maybe time for the next life cycle, the planet will still be here.
Not that we are anywhere near this level.

How did I know that this post was going to contain a BBC link!
Im really getting fed up with the MMGW issue, it gets thrust down our throats everyday at every opportunity.
The Earth has been through many climate changes over the course of its multi million year history, maybe, just maybe we're due another change and there's naff all we or carbon can do about it!

The Next Big Thing will be the magnetic poles switching over...what will they tax us on to stop that...?Im really getting fed up with the MMGW issue, it gets thrust down our throats everyday at every opportunity.

The radio 2 news has just reported between 2 and 8deg rise in temperature by 2080, pretty accurate prediction then
,,,And the 'disaters' are always just beyond our lifetime, which gives the perfect excuse for emotive drivel about 'our children and children's children'I am sure that the older I get, the more I see the West, particulary the UK regressing - or is it me..
To be ABSOLUTELY fair, at no point in the linked article does it say anything about man-made, but talks about CC as an absolute.
We know and accept CC happens/has happened, and this doesn't look to attribute blame.
Whether the computer modelling for you postcode region is wholly accurate or reliable, is open to much debate/conjecture, depending on what it's using to predict the resultant outcomes.

Yes I did read and re-read it to make sure I hadnt missed the bit where it mentioned MM or CO2, but I thought Id wade in with my frustrations over MMGW anyway We know and accept CC happens/has happened, and this doesn't look to attribute blame.

Anyway, do they really need to commission a report that confirms climate change will happen, when literally every Tom, Dick and Harry knows this anyway? As I said, the climate has been changing since the beginning of the Earth, its not about to stop now.

No but it didn't stop old Hilary coming on R4 this mornng and spouting a bowlful of drivel about lemonade bubbles on the back of this. We know and accept CC happens/has happened, and this doesn't look to attribute blame.

Review suggests climate models can't be trusted for this. Apparently the data won't be the same in three years time making it a useless tool for planning purposes I'd have thought?
