So, this is what counts as 'Justice' these days.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1193481/Fe...

It amazes me that we still have this happening!!

Quote from the article;

"Bristol magistrates gave Thomas an 18-week jail term suspended for a year, 80 hours of unpaid work, and ordered him to pay £500 compensation.

He pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm and assault.

On the same day, a local graffiti artist Lewey Spencer, 25, was also sentenced to 80 hours of unpaid work, but told to pay £1,400 in fines and costs."

Tough on crime, tough on causes of crime?.......yeah right!!

"!Thomas, 30, who has a previous conviction for assaulting a woman, attacked PC Maggs late at night outside a takeaway store last month."

So he has previous for assaulting a woman, and he gets a suspended sentence? banghead

Lol ?

So spray a bit of graffiti and get punished harshly, or viciously batter a police woman and get a small fine...

Say what you like about the yanks, but if this had happened in the US justice would have been rather swift and very severe.............. and if they had missed the courts would have sent him to prison for a fairly long time smile

....and if the cops wade in a little rough as per the Tazer thread, most critisise them.

Poor woman, further compounded by a rediculous sentance.

I'm not happy about that result, be nice to see the home sec. step in and lock him up TBH.
