Switchoff of ALL analogue radio broadcasts in the UK confirmed at 2015.

So, if you are buying a car after about 2012, make sure it's fitted with a DAB radio.

not that I'm aware of Eric. I meant it as a solution to ND having nothing to listen to, as you can get cheapo transmitters for them and pick up the signal on the squawk box smile

They do get DAB/FM if you buy one of these. Not sure what IPOD models they are compatible with but mine works ok with my Classic 5 or is it a 4 confused

It does need a good signal strength.

Can't see it working tbh.

The pirates will take over and chaos over the air waves will ensue, so much so new licences will have to be issued.

Very easy to set up a station...... wink you ain't seen me right. biggrin

Can't ever see analogue radio disappearing.
