All Barclays bank ATM machines and internet banking has collapsed at Barclays due to a massive computer crash.

No doubt something to do with the archaic IBM boxes that are used to interface into the mainframe, from memory they were end of lifed by IBM in the mid to late 90's and there are only tiny amounts of NOS spares left!, when I was last on site for a few days as a consultant (approx 1 year ago) they were buying used units and making one good box out of 3 or 4.

No, I think they are going through the automated answering machine before being put on hold for a few hours, eventually they will get through to the Indian call centre to be told they have called the wrong number.

I heard they had started to upgrade to new Airbus systems.
