So Campbell thinks the mentally ill should still be allowed to be involved in running the country! Is he laying the groundwork for revelations about Winky?

Maybe he justs sees the minimum competency requirement as the ability to complete and expenses form?

Nothing to do with Winky, Campbell has had mental health problems himself. But he still wants 'in' on the gravy train, and 'rules' (Ha!) that would prevent him from doing so aren't in his interest.

Same old, same old.

BBC Article said:
The ex-spin doctor, who has suffered from depression in the past, said many MPs including members of Tony Blair's government had had mental problems.
Which explains an awful lot, my guess is the same as phil's Winky's depression / autism / delsuion / paranoia issues will be made public in a way of easing him out of number 10, whilst allowing him to remain in parliment, without doing as much damage to the scum party as a full frontal leadership battle.

Hey, I know, and I know this breaks many PH conventions - lets read the article that was posted before making comment!

I seriously wonder if some PHers write headlines for the Daily Mail or Sun some days.

As for the article, he's merely paving the way for a few Labour MPs to have a breakdown, and not have a by-election called.

Winston Churchill suffered from depression, so it's nothing new.

That was my first thought. Depression, fuelled with booze wasn't it? I don't seem to recall him doing so badly out of it, nor the country.

I think he enjoyed the odd Scotch, yes! And he (and the country!) certainly fared better than the current load of muppets.

Having someone in need of "care and attention" in charge of the Nuclear Button does not fill me full of glee.

When you are sectioned under the mental health act it is because you are a danger to your self or the public, or the public may injure you as a result of your actions. That was the case when my Dad was put away in September and it was the correct decision.

There is noway anybody even close to that mental state should be let anywhere near Westminster to have any hand in running the country.

A little depression is one getting sectioned is completely different.

I would love to see winky detained but it just isn't going to happen.

Come on think of the advantages

If we have a bunch of politicians who actually are mad then while they are busy running around closing all the doors on their office 28times each, arranging their pens to stop the bad magic and legislating against the little fairys, then they aren't fking up the country by trying to make everyone equal.

Its not like they could be worse then winky and crew
