I hate the useless apologist tt. "we've done nothing wrong, nowt to do with our policies, its a protest about expenses". Vile repulsive man.

...and he's just been made to look like a complete dhead.

Apparently "everyone" was "praising and lauding" Winky as recently as Easter, so says Peter Hain. I must have missed that....

Labour think that if they repeat rubbish sufficiently often, enough of the electorate will believe it.

Hain looked miffed when it was pointed out that most of the cabinet were now second choices.

Only 2nd choices, I thought he had to go back to the list entitled "If terrorist action wipes out >75% of MPs consider these".

I have to say I was really impressed with Ruth Lea. She cut straight to the point about budget forecasts (cuts and so on), and didn't seem to pull any punches. We need straight talking people like her in charge of the economy, and we certainly enjoyed seeing her putting Hain in his place. smile

Agreed. Hain was clearly uncomfortable that an actual economist was sitting next to him. She was laughing at most of what he said.

On another note, where the fk did they find that audience from? As a Birmingham dweller, I can assure you that the bunch of B'ham Uni Communists/Labour club members are not seen regularly on our streets. A more unrepresentative bunch would be hard to find! The BBC makes me laugh these days; it is so partizan. I'm not even angry any more.

Brummies are not really like the planted members we heard from last night. Portrayed the city in a poor light to be honest.
