Just watched on BBC2 a small program.

It seems in the East of England early indications are showing labour in 5th of 6th.

Also all the lefties across Europe are doing badly, in power or not in power.

Good stuff.

I do have a concern that the UKIP nutters will take rather more from the Tories than from Labour, simply because it's less of a seismic leap as a protest vote for the typical Tory voter. Hopefully that won't prove to be the case, but we'll see in a couple of hours, I suppose!

It is indeed.

Nick Robinson said something not arse kissing to Bruwn.

"Gordon can't use this as an excuse for all leading parties during the recession, as well it is all those to the left"

If the Conservatives want to recapture the UKIP voters, then they need CMD to actually offer a different European policy to that of both the Lib Dems and Labour. A lisbon referendum on its own is NOT going to do that.

Me too.

It will send a message to the Scumbag at No.10 that we don't want the Lisbon Treaty, and given that the piece of turd promised us a Referendum then balked when he knew we'd say no.........

Now being reported that turnout was as low as 43% of eligible voters, this may help the big parties to say that in a "real" election they will do better

Me too. The local elections have seen a great deal of protest voting, and UKIP is a more relevant protest vote in the European election.

We won't know if we want the Lisbon Treaty or not, until we have the promised referendum.
Oh. The referendum we were promised, but are too stupid to be allowed.

Meanwhile, over in France, hasn't Sarkozy done well!

Up from 15% to 29% of the vote, with a corresponding drop for the Socialists.

So how come countries which voted today are already declaring results, and we've not got ours yet?

Midlands areas reporting turnouts below 30%, being blamed on there being no local elections in Birmingham, Stoke etc.

From the BBC coverage:

2102 It's only a rumour at this stage, but it looks like Labour have come in sixth place in Cornwall behind the Tories, Lib Dems, UKIP, Greens and the Cornish nationalist Mebyon Kernow party.

Behind the cornish nationalists.................... rofl

no, I have to say it again!

In Sweden the Pirate party won a seat.

(Unfortunately, not the Jolly Roger type pirates but the Internet privacy and free download type.)
