University of Buckingham
Discussion
No fking idea. But if you look at Ofsted, they will judge the place on it's ability to set box and tick box. It will probably beat better places on that virtue.
I'd say it was a poly, bigging itself up on the old modern statistics driven approach to tick box rather than learning. It's what wins and what creates winners......until someone has to prove and apply understanding.....
You are either cut out for proper university or not. A pretend one will never measure up. It's a different world.

Looking at there website they aren't an ex-poly
"Buckingham is the only university independent of direct government support in the United Kingdom and has used its independence to pioneer a distinctive approach to higher education.
On May 27th 1967, The Times published a letter from Dr J. W. Paulley, which said, "Is it not time to examine the possibility of creating at least one new university in this country on the pattern of those great private foundations in the USA, without whose stimulus and freedom of action the many excellent state universities in that country would be so much poorer."
I was just curious how well a university outside state control would get on. Interestingly there degrees only take 2 years to complete.
