Just checked their news front page and guess what is the main story:

'Obama reaches out to Muslim world'.

Followed by 'Other top stories':

'UK house prices up 2% in May' - lovely
'Premier League revenues near £2b' - thats nice
'Brazil navy arrives in ocean zone' - very tragic ...

Then under the 'top stories' we have:

'UK votes in MEP and local elections'.

Oh well, at least it is there! There doesn't seem to be much about the sad state of (Za)Nu Labia though. Wonder why? (Brown's Broadcasting Corporation??)

Taken from http://order-order.com/2009/06/04/public-service-b...

"So in search of the truth and information as to what is really going on the British public turns to the state broadcaster, the venerable BBC, the broadcaster the people are involuntarily forced to fund. Who, we want to know, is behind the attempt to oust the Prime Minister by email?

John Humphrys : …who’s behind it? Our political editor Nick Robinson, do we know Nick?

Nick Robinson : We do know, I am not entirely sure I am going to tell you on the Today programme…

(Listen online here.) You pay taxes so Nick Robinson can report on politics. Sky News says Charles Clarke is behind it, no taxpayers were harmed in bringing you that information"

bbc is part of the government, it is their job to put forward and support the views of the current government otherwise their cosy position will not be so cosy....we are stealth taxed for it via the so called tv licence...

Oh knock it off with the BBC bashing ffs you muppets.

It isnt biased and Nick Robinson isnt in Brown or Labours pocket. There is such raving right wing antagonism on here that at times it is just embarrassing to read. I dislike Brown and Labour as much as anyone and I take quite some pride in having predicted this current state of affairs the day Brown took office, but some of what you lot come out with is just drivel.

The Beeb is just fine in its reporting.

The BBC has been biased for years.

Okay.

On the BBC News website find me, without clicking down through four or five layers, a critical piece on the Government, or any of it's ministers.

Go on.

There's plenty of implicitly anti-Tory bits. There's a bit of anti-Lib stuff from time to time. But there is no critical review of anything the Government does.

Andrew Marr is so left wing it's ridiculous - have you watched his show on a Sunday? It's the most cringeworthy love-in possible.

Nick Robinson I can't fathom; notionally he's supposed to be right of centre - but he's quite obviously pro-Brown, anti-Blairite, anti-Tory.

Andrew Neil is Blue, but gets so little primetime he's irrelevant.

Paxman - his frankly pathetic 'mauling' of Hague was top of the Beeb's website videos yesterday, all day, despite events. I don't recall Paxman mauling Brown on the state of the economy, or Smith on the dissatisfaction of the Police force, or Hoon on the woeful supply of the armed forces.

Agreed.

I think accusations do go a bit far but there is often a clear difference between the BBC emphasis and other news channels.

NOT a problem, if I did not personally fund this. Sky/ITV/C4 can say what they want, I don't care, because I don't fund their views.

Just watching BBC 1 o'clock news, the euro elections was the 5th story! The 5th! Even then it was only given 20 seconds!

No wonder no one knows whats going on/who to vote for!

Likely to have more of an impact on the world than the European elections IMHO.

Well, I have no real love for any of the parties, and in my opinion, based on the type of programmes I have watched, the BBC certainly is biased towards the left and loony left. I noted with particular interest that on the Sunday Politics Show (two weeks running), the Green Party seemed to get a lot more airtime than the Tories, let alone any other smaller fringe parties (which is exactly what the Green Party is) – But they are all dwarfed by the sheer amount of airtime and seemingly easy rides (considering what they’ve done to the UK) of the Labour Party.

Andrew Marr interviewing GB and DC was like chalk and cheese, the latter getting a right grilling and seemingly not allowed to finish a sentence without Marr butting in. Contrast that to the same interviewer allowing GB to reel off the same old crap about ‘getting on with the job/Britain is well placed to deal with the recession due to my policies” etc.

I get my news from a variety of sources including the BBC.

Yes the BBC is very politically biased. This spills into other areas of it coverage of topical affairs.

One should not rely on it for a balanced view. Similarly one should not rely on the Telegraph or the Guardian. Horribly editorially biased.

The BBC may be an arm of Government but they DO have their OWN agenda and it runs through their current affairs programming like letters through a stick of rock. I don't expect this to change with a new Government. It would take a new administration at the Beeb to change this. And that, of course, is not beyond possibility in a year or two's time at all.

ITS BEEN FRPNT PAGE fkING NEWS ALL WEEK!

What is the front page today:

Obama reaching out to Muslim world. Well yes, a keynote speech on trying for peace in the Middle East in the middle of what has been called the most important tour by a sitting US President in recent history *should* be bloody important. Esp in such hightened sodding times as the King of JOrdan saying its peace this year or war next year and Iran still trying to acquire nukes, with North Korea quite willing to supply them with the tech. they need whilst flexing their own muscles. Id say that was pretty fking important.

What else do we have? High profile murder news that also highlights glaring failures in the probation service. Well fk me if you dont find that important.

David Carradine dead. High profile actor, on other days this would have been a lead article.

Down the side we have: oh wait top of the list the local council and MEP elections! Crickey, well they are really hiding that away arent they?

Wtf cares about another critial piece of the govt? Thats opinion not news. I want them to bury opinion somewhere in the damn site, I dont want it headlines and neither does anyone reasonably imparial and unbiased. We dont need that, the damn election results and news of various resignations will inform my own opinion quite well enough ty.

Jesus wept, but I despair of some of you I really do. There are times Im not sure who is worse, the "Intellgentsia" know it alls in society or politicians but I know one thing all right, if you or anyone like you was PM, you would be just as bloody useless as he is.

Are you aware that Nick Robinson's nickname is "Toenails"? And do you know why? Becuse he's so far up Brown's arse that's all you can see of him.
