Do I need to take my polling card with me tomorrow to vote??

As per title really, being only 25, I haven't voted much (twice maybe), and since the last elections I can't remember whether I need my card or not. Do they have lists as you go in to check you are eligible?

It helps them find your details quickly if you do have your card but you can vote even if you don't take it along.
