.......the leaflet that came through the door this morning reminds me that they played a key role in making new laws to cut carbon emissions to tackle climate change. So if they're likely to carry on down that road where do I turn?

I honestly have no idea who to vote for next time. Labour have denmonstrated that they are a useless shower of bds. Conservatives have not convinced me that they will be any different. Lib Dems appear to have a collection of unrealistic and/or unimplementable policies. The greens are the same only far, far worse. BNP and UKIP are just tts.

UKIP at the Euro, then let your Tory MP wannabe know that if they carry on with the MMGW ba**s then you won't be voting for them.....

I would put the Greens on a par with the BNP when it comes to the policies that do nothing except further destruction of the UK, both socially and economically.

It seems that when quizzed about the Green’s economic policies, all they come up with is more ‘green collar’ jobs! What the hell are they!

I am just hoping against hope that the Tories are paying simple lip service to the ‘Green Agenda’, to appease those who cannot live their lives without some kind of cause to cling to.

Oh ffs. Why *wouldnt* you want to actually cut carbon emissions?

Do ppl not realise this new political direction ahs actually changed the game of established industry? It has overnight more or less invented an entirely new industry and industrial direction for motivated and intelligent ppl/companies to develop and exploit. Something that was so blindingly obvious some of us were yelling about it 5+ yrs ago that it should be *exactly* what the govt should be doing and handing out £bns in research to British companies. Unfortunately now all the politics has caught up with the obvious, the laws have come in and the rest of the world has cottoned on, in particular the Yanks have cottoned on which means the most benefit from the new developments in this industry wont be in Britain. Yay, well done Britain, way to go. Not. frown

By getting the carbon argument utterly wrong over the last 5yrs or so we have spectacularly shot ourself in the foot.

Climate change is irrelevent. The sheer industrial economic arguments should have made the direction obvious. Alas a combination of ignorant, naive, greedy and dim witted politicians combined with a resurgent Luddite British scepticism means we have buggered it up.

Well sodding done.

If you want to get the current idiots out you have to vote Conservative a vote for any other party is a wasted vote as no one else has a hope in hell of getting enough votes to oust the Labour party from office.

Just have. Postal voting is ludicrously convenient - even if, in general, I disapprove.

Independent.

It will help divide commons, which will stop stupid legislation being pushed through due to the career politicians just saying yes to their superiors.

UKIP are a joke, they really are, but thats an entirely different argument.

If I understand what you're saying, you are suggesting that making up an arbitrary demand can build an industry? An amusing idea that'll rile G20 protesters, I'm sure.

Same problem here. I would normally vote Conservative, but I just cannot bring myself to vote for any party that supports any kind of unrealistic carbon emission reduction nonsense, and all the corrupt carbon trading that goes hand in hand with it. I find the whole scam so sickening that I would rather not vote at all than show support for it.

Agreed, it's depressing.

Not much consolation from the fact that they'll reduce other taxes in turn.

Vote any other party but tory, and you might as well vote labour.

Imagine how happy you will be making gordon brown feel. You could just as well be giving him a head and neck massage, or a kiss on his bum.

vote tory for gods sake and lets get this country back to prosperity, we need to cut this wasteful public sector in half before the imf tells us to.....also at least tories have got a track record of understanding finance... i don't remember any banks busting under Tories... labour got rid of BoE oversight, set up a MPC crony committee and merged all the functional regulators into the dysfunctional FSA...

They weren't exactly economic geniuses.
