With all the clamor for a general election. Assuming your sitting MP was from the party you support. Could you vote for a dodgy MP.

Looks like those that have said no will have to abstain then.

By the looks of it most are on the fiddle and the choices may well only be fiddling MP's.

I may be wrong but voting consists of choosing from amongst people who want to be an MP, sometimes against someone who already is.
So the 'NO' voter merely chooses one of the candidates who is not the incumbent.
What's abstaining about that?

It is theoretical for me since my local MP is Labour.

But if my local MP was Conservative and had been abusing the system I would hope they would either stand down, or be deselcted. If not I would vote UKIP.

If you know which party you intend to vote for, then (if the MP has been a "bad" fiddler) then complain the HQ/local party offices saying you are a lifelong supporter but will only vote if the incumbent steps down.

If enough people do this, they may well change their candidate.

It's a democracy after all.

Personally I don't think people actually care that much (despite what they say) and will vote for party X anyway regardless on who is the candidate.

Did someone mention UKIP?

The leader of the UK Independence party (Ukip), which wants to lead Britain out of the EU, has taken £2m of taxpayers' money in expenses and allowances as a member of the European Parliament, on top of his £64,000 a year salary.

So, the only solution is anarchy with the minimal libertarian government to maintain order?

I suppose we should focus on what they intend to do with the larger sums of missing money.

As I've said, I don't think the Conservatives will make the required cuts deep enough. More like a dilute new-labour. Can't risk upsetting the boat.
