"I can only wonder about the impact on the Taliban. Just imagine seeing that: a guy in pink boxers and flip-flops has you in his cross-hairs. What an incredible innovation in psychological warfare," said U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

He probably had to rush to put clean ones on and didnt have time to sort the rest of his kit. The last thing his mommy will have told him is "always wear clean underwear...just incase you get hit by a bus bullet"

I think I would just stand up there with none on, blazing away with a little turban on my crank. hehe

Brief summary; Old British comedy film, set in Northwest frontier during the Raj. Natives restless, Scotch kilt wearing battalion defending, reputation of nothing worn under the kilt. Natives suspect otherwise. Confrontation, thin red line etc. Scotch raise kilts, natives recoil in fear. Empire saved.

Ooooooh you best get in hiding!!! Scotch is a drink...... and the proper term you want is "Scots" - made me a lot of friends when i walked into a borders pub (Kelso) where I have a lot of family and used the proper term despite the English accent (my auntie lives there and they all know she's Welsh as am I).

I think it's worth mentioning that 'Khyber' is rhyming slang for arse (or ass for those of colonial bent) - Khyber Pass, Arse.

Which is what I think the original Khyber reference may have been alluding to.

Only if you pronounce pass as pah-s, rather than par-s.

So to us Southerners, Mockneys, and various other shandy drinking thesp types, it's Pass does rhyme with arse
