I detect a backlash just beginning against the Telegraph. These MPs still don't seem to have a grasp of reality if it is in fact the case. This is exactly the same concept of Max Mosley having been caught by a tabloid in a Nazi-style orgy and blaming the press for a breach of his privacy. Well, exactly the same except we didn't pay for his orgy but did for the MPs. duck house rather than fk house.

As long as Steen and Nadine Dorries continue to mouth off the way they are, the Telegraph will be safe to carry on.

You're right. Talk about being in a hole and stopping digging!

And now talk of suicides? Well, I have long thought we had too many MPs.

I certainly can't see anyone being desperately upset.

Its a known fact that many criminals convince themselves that they have done nothing wrong and are totally justified in their actions, even when facts show otherwise. They live the lie so long they no longer have a grasp of desancy, truth, honesty, reality or 'honour'.

They're still criminals though.

Just look at that twot Aitken. He just didnt know when or where to stop.

You're right Tony. The cleverer MPs are not admitting that they did something wrong but rather that they didn't do anything criminal or against the rules. They still did something very, very wrong.

According to Nadine Dorries on the radio this a.m., if an MP hasn't been seen for a while then "party workers" are phoning their offices to make sure they're OK..the poor dears.....rolleyes

That stupid comment lost him 4 votes from my family

Do they think they're suicide risks or are they more likely to flee the country?

Take their passports away from them if you ask me. But let them claim for 12 ft of rope.

Instead of criticising the media and the public, they should be on their knees begging forgiveness.

It will certainly be the straw that breaks the camel's back if they try...

BUT I think CMD and McWinky are fully aware of the depth of public feeling in this matter, and they know full well what might happen if they even try it...

Apart from the expenses scandal being 100% concering public interest - it concerns something tantamount to organised theft of public money. The Max Moseley scandal in comparison being 100% nothing concerning public interest in any way but it was a surefire way to sell papers...

Last weeks Private Eye cover summed it up nicely I think.

I haven't heard any of this. A divide between politics and the media would be a refreshing change after the last 12 years.

Just now the BBC were saying how hard done by some MPs are, being persecuted in this way... After all, MPs are only human. As if we give a s**t!?!?? I mean, I think they should count themselves lucky we don't have fecking rioting in the streets and people looking to string them up from lampposts...
