Remember that programme featuring Jane Horrocks as "Mrs Pritchard", well I think something like this could now actually happen. All it would take is one clue-d up person making the right sounds on either "question time" or confronting an MP on the street to start the snowball.
We all go on about "none of the above", we just need a somebody to strike a cord........

How about clever people, regardless of their professional qualifications.
people who understand complex problems without being fed all their 'knowledge' from graduate unelected civil servants would be a good start.
