Gentleman won't get served booze in an Andover Tesco store as he's drunk, so pops back into the car park and Rolls back into the shop... what a nutcase!

is it an offence to buy (or sell) booze at an off license to someone thats pissed?

I've got a cab to many an off license when the BBQ beers are running low..

ETA not defending the guy in the story, he's clearly a head case

I guarantee the store development manager will get it in the neck for not having anti-ram raid bollards installed

Suggests he drove there in the first place?

However, I am getting fed up of Tesco acting as the law!

To be fair, we don't know the whole story.

If he's nutty enough to drive his car into the shop, he could have been acting a total knob in the shop, and hence was refused service. Any shop would do the same.

Again terribly upsetting for the people involved, glad no flowers crushed, ants trodden on BUT....

If you're going to do it, do it in style.

You do get some anal staff.

I have been refused the sale of alcohol before, as I didn't have any proof of age.

Now I certainly don't look like a spring chicken, and it was the only time since I was 18.

I then left all my bottles and food on the till, as nothing I could do.

Tesco seem to be the only people who are like this, common sense certainly is lacking.

Slight extreme reaction to Tesco though.
