It might be hot but then again it might not. But here's what to do if you're a moron.
Yet again, your taxes being used to state the totally bleeding obvious. Remember someone had to sit down and write that press release, someone had to approve it, someone had to sign it off. And there had to be a whole day meeting with tea and hobnobs to make sure that it didn't offend anyone.
Jesus wept.... this country is so screwed.

Before all the community centres / post offices / pubs / leisure clubs etc were closed by or due to Winky and his group of PC / H&S obsessed clowns, people actually met, communities developed, children were encouraged to join groups that did work in and for the local community and people generally actually thought of people other than themselves.............I’ve either got very rose tinted glasses (was in the cubs / scouts etc so don’t think so), grew up in a sitcom or labours social engineering work has been as effective as their financial management
Seeing that every single thing that they have ever warned us about has has totally and utterly reliably never bloody happened then i am keeping the 7 on a sorn and buying a wading kit for the landrover.
OH FFS we have just had the TV weather girl saying that some days maybe hotter then average and some days might be colder then average.
Oh kill me now i live in a country of fking morons

The Department of Health's Heatwave Plan urges everyone to be aware of the health risks faced by elderly friends and relatives during a hot spell.
Am I missing something, it seems to me that the DoH is just asking us to take an interest in the more vunerable members of society that won't neccessarily be looking after themselves (they also mention the very young). The fact that the DoH feels we need to be reminded to do this is hardly a ringing endorsement of modern society, but other than that I can't see what is wrong with that. RDE said:

So, I should plant some shrubs for shade, apparently. I'll just pop down to my local garden centre then, and buy myself a 2ft shrub. It should be 10ft high by July, I'm sure.

Agree completely, but why let rational thought get in the way when you can oh-so-tediously use something as an excuse to decry how terrible our country is for the 90th time in 2 days?Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
