He writes that it appeared to at least these two photographers that most of the much-photographed violence on Wednesday evening was caused by people who looked like “agent provocateurs,” who “were going from police line to police line baiting the police — and they were the ones who instigated the push against police lines that kicked off the evening violence.” This photographer adds that “There was another guy baiting the police and whipping up the crowd to rush the police, he got a hundred or so protesters to follow him and then sneaked off as they reached police lines.” He also writes that the second photographer, who is a reliable reporter, “saw a bunch of protesters trying to stop a guy in black throwing bottles at the police, the protesters had an argument him and then accused him of being a policeman, whereupon he ran to the police cordon, showed some I.D. and was let through!”

When I was in the middle of the crowd, two people came over to me and said, 'There are people over there who we believe are policemen and who have been encouraging the crowd to throw things at the police,'" Brake said. But when the crowd became suspicious of the men and accused them of being police officers, the pair approached the police line and passed through after showing some form of identification.

I bet you're a bundle of fun. Sat in your darkened room all day and night, searching the world wide web for any rubbish you can find against the Police. I'm sure the people filmed attacking Police with poles and iron bars (causing significant injury) were Police as well. They couldn't possibly be lentil eating anarchist keeping themselves busy until their next dole cheque arrives.
I bet you've got a poster on your wall saying the 9/11 attacks were carried out by a George Bush cylon!

You always lower yourself to personal insults. Perhaps because you have nothing better to say.I bet you've got a poster on your wall saying the 9/11 attacks were carried out by a George Bush cylon!
All I have done is to report news stories from respected news media.
And are you saying that video is rubbish? To me it looked like police officers beating up people who were sitting on the ground. Very brave of them.
And as for "Lentil Eating Anarchist", you could at least have tried reading the stories so as to be less ignorant. The man making the claim in the Guardian article is an MP who was there.
Okay, I'll humour him, despite ignoring my pretty fair question above.
Howabout they weren't Police agents.
Howabout the people in question were anarchist/fringe elements of whatever groups were there on the day, and they were using fake ID - such as NUJ/Press passes - to move into and out of the trouble spots?
Crazy notion I know, but probably less crazy than the police using agents to start trouble.

Haven't you been paying attention? The police blatently did it. Ever noticed you never see Ian Blair and Osama Bin Laden on tv at the same time?Coincidence? I think not.
Dear Lord.
The police do embed people within groups likely to cause trouble (football groups, large demos etc). They aren't briefed to be provocative though. They don't have to be. The police would have much rather the G20 had gone a little smoother don't you think? So hardly likely to stir up trouble that's getting them in trouble now don't you think? Much more likely the event was attended by a small proportion of people that were expecting violence and started some (that 5 minute footage of the bare chested bloodied man shouting and screaming at a police line for example) don't you think?
In fact, don't you think?

let me guess he was there to collect everybodies recipts so he could put them through expensesNot sure about the police putting people in the protests to stir up trouble, they seemed to be causing enough of it without that.
I love how everyone has a pop at DoR and calls him a conspiracy theorist when he's posted video evidence of the police assaulting people, or do you think he made that himself? All cgi?

I think people are having a pop at him because A) He has no interest in balanced debate; the Police are scum, that's it and B) He is talking b*llocks on this occassion.I love how everyone has a pop at DoR and calls him a conspiracy theorist when he's posted video evidence of the police assaulting people, or do you think he made that himself?
