So our justice minister has claimed for a home cinema and a leather massage chair, and wrote to the fees office claiming that "no one told me there was any limit to what I am able to spend, and therefore natural justice demands that my claim for the home cinema be paid."

He has claimed £66,000 for his London pad, yet claims this is a "non story". FFS.

So, how long before he claims this is a racially motivated personal attack?

I must say I am loving this whole affair. Change is coming.

He seems genuinely shocked that people think he's done anything wrong at all. He even called it all a Tory plot against him.

I honestly think he believes he's done nothing wrong.

He was in my top 5 of "First against the wall" people come the revolution. "No Mr. Malik, it's not because you're Asian- it's because you're a tw*t.".

He's on BBC news now (again).

"lets try and draw a line behind this and move forward"

"it's time to move on"

"this thirst for blood by the media is destroying democracy"

"i've nothing to apologise for"

BBC News reader: "Why didn't you buy the cheapest TV possible rather than the most expensive you could claim for."

Malik: "Well it's easy to say that now. . . . "

"You people are ruining our great democracy!"

I love this!! and yet it makes me so angry!!!!!

The media isn't destroying democracy......THE FECKING STEALING, LYING POLITICANS ARE!!!!!

They really are either; a) clueless and completely out of touch with public opinion over this..or b) they just don't care about the public as they see us a sheep to do their bidding.

I'm probably leaning towards the later wink Just because the though makes e more angry than option a) biggrin

He's rattling on, and he's wondered why the media (telegraph) have chosen him, 'wondering' sounds like the elephant (race) in the room.

I am sure he tried to play it on Sky news this morning.
He came out with something along the lines of "Well we all know the real reason I have been called into question"!
No, it’s cos your a !

He reminds me of one of those dodgy insurance sales men

hope the swear filter kicks in, if not, see you all in a week or so.

The TV etc is not the real issue, the real issue appears that his 2nd London home with all this top gear in is his MAIN home, with his main constituency home reportedly being a "£100 a month rental from a slum landlord!"

You could not make it up!

To think the rest of us have to BUY this gear out of already TAXED income, and they get it given to them by us tax paying mugs, is proposterous if you think about it. Minister for Justice, the irony,.....!

What I want to know is...which TV he actually bought for £1050.

It could very well be a dodgy cheap tat with reciept for £1050. Brilliant!

Been talking in the office about this and what the Bnp are likely to do with this how much does anyone want to bet that they make a major issue fo the expenses debacle and in their campaign just use pictures of every ethnic MP on the list in their campaign literature frown

This is some fked up reality we are all in now frown

Cheers
The BNP will make a lot out of this in the northern towns. The common people already feel let down by Labour and are looking for someone to vote for. They don't have much choice.

Reckon the Lib/Dems have a major opportunity here too, they don't look like they have been as badly damaged. Better they get the protest vote rather than the BNP etc.....frown

I don't think the bnp have a natural constituency in "northern towns", they have a natural constituency in lower intelligence people which would probably found in any large public housing estate, I seem to recall alf garnet supported the 'ammers.

Bnp will make gains if the media keep refering to the ONLY alternative is, and MPs scaremonger, about them. It's interesting UKIP inthe European is looking like a credible protest vote. Local elections I could easily vote lib dem, who are fairly clean.

I want a general election.

Could this be the same Shahid Malik who was filmed leading a brick-throwing mob during the Burnley riots?

No action taken against him either.

Justice Minister?

Ahh, irony indeed.

Scummy little keeps going on about "this isn't a moat, this isn't a helipad etc..." Money grabbing piece of st. Like all of them he doesn't get it at all. He had a pretty small majority (4600) at the last election where the Tories put another Asian up against him. If they do the same next time hopefully he'll be a casualty.
