Without wishing to get into the debate as to whether this initiative is right or wrong, the question I would like to ask is;

How on earth can this measure be implemented? How will it be policed? More importantly, how much will it cost and who will pay for it?

Are Tesco et al really going to roll over and take a pounding from Gordo?

More soundbite politics if you ask me; I am happy to stand corrected though if someone has a little more insight into the matter.

And when are they going to let people live their lives instead of constantly finding news ways to tell people how to live their lives.

Yet more pointless, and presumably costly, interference in our lives. And, as for trying to legislate how a pub can run it's business? It is simply daft.

Jacqui Bloody Smith. Someone should put her out of our misery.

Leave 'em to destroy themselves. It's worked for thousands of years, why change it?

Call me crazy....but I saw this film the other day which was based on a game show that, I think, these sorts of people would be perfect for!!

The film was "THE RUNNING MAN!"....though...being a car enthusiast website....maybe "Deathrace" would be the better game show to use.

In fact, maybe we should have a poll;

If you had the choice to use the idiots of society for one of these game shows....which one would you prefer to see on TV? Personally, I'd go for "Deathrace".

I was referring more to getting involved with pricing. But, yes, I think the smoking ban was badly handled, though completely in keeping with the character of this maladministration.

When they go out of control, they are arrested, and whipped on a weekly basis until they learn the terms common sense and moderation.
