Wonder how long it'll take the nannies in power over here to see this as being a good idea and implement something along the same lines...

Quote from BBC: "Berlin also plans to ban games like paintball and laser-tag that simulate killing on the grounds that they trivialise and encourage violence."

What utter and complete tree-hugging bks. And I thought the disproportionate knee-jerk reactions that led to the complete banning of legitimately-owned full-bore auto and semi-auto weapons & full-bore handguns in this country was bad.

Watch out, Germany, that group of office workers on a 'team-building' paintball day will, a week later, be going crazy-ape bonkers down the shopping centre armed with SPAS12 auto-shotguns, rocket launchers and grenades. Or maybe not....

The news article talks of having 'biometric' controls on gun safes, they have been trying to get allsorts of biometric controls on guns in America for years and none have worked.
We have had the various gun bans and none have stoped further shootings. Anyone who wants/does shoot someone is never interested in what laws they are braking.

It used to be banned in Oz (dont know if it still is). If you were paintballing, you had to find out via secret emails, follow coded signs after meeting at a fuel station first etc etc

You think England is a nanny state, you dont know the half of it.

I really can't say that I approve.

And I had such high hopes.

+1

I was wondering if that would be included. Would be a real shame if they banned Airsoft over here.....great fun!
