A work of art billed as St.Helens' answer to Angel Of The North, taking pride of place next to the M62 called 'Dream',has had a mixed reception.

I drove past it this afternoon, and laughed my tits off.

ETA,when travelling westbound, the face bit is obscured by trees.

A piece of that size and stature must have gone through innumerable design phases, commission meetings etc.

Didn't anyone, just for a second, think the bleeding obvious?

They could have sorted out the seams. Building has been going downhill since the pyramids.

Having passed the rusty monstrosity that is the angel o north on a regular basis, I have no problem with big art, although they seem ridiculously expensive, an earlier post got me thinking, what with the crazy Kent horse planned, what would like to see 100ft tall standing on hillside, is this worthy of a thread of it's own. How about as suggested a100ft phallus, like fertility symbol wherever it is, celebrating manliness! A giant cock and balls, standing proud and erect, overlooking a city somewhere, I think men are overdue some recognition...

We could launch epetition...

Any other suggestions?

Why on earth has this been moved? Just because it's in the newspapers it has to be in News? Madness!

What's the statutory time limit before something stops being news? A day, a week?
