Ha, bring back the Q-Ships.

I can't believe that a few bandits with AK47s in a rubber boat can cause so much trouble. Just blow the fkers out of the water and have done with it.

The concept of 'armed merchantmen' goes back centuries - specifically to deal with pirates. How easily the simple lessons of history are lost, dissolved in an expensive mess of political correctness and international law.

According to the story, the pirates (Arrrrr) were 600 miles out to sea? Surely not?

The solution could be just a simple peice of lumber canterlevered off the side of a ship and the Somalia words for "plank" and "walk"

Indeedy; I'm surprised the Frenchies didn't blow them to smitherines. As much as we tease our Gallic cousins for being a little wet, they tend to show ruthlesness a little more openly than us when challenged.

If it had been a British ship, we'd have sent social workers instead of commandos out to meet them biggrin
